Many probably know of NotebookLM as the AI collaborator where you can upload documents (“sources”) to a digital “notebook” and then ask questions about the information in your sources. NotebookLM responds with an answer and citations to the sources you’ve supplied.
Since you control what NotebookLM focuses on, there’s less worry about made-up hallucinations.
NotebookLM recently expanded the source formats it can work with to include audio files. The ability to summarize and question against audio files can be a great time-saver for those who need to review court hearings but don’t have the time or budget to have a written transcript prepared.
Interested in taking it for a spin? Here’s a shared link to the notebook I created using the audio file from the Michigan Court of Appeals August 2, 2023 oral argument in Davis v BetMGM.
Imagine the possibilities!
